Rick Wise
For my metal-fused Images, I am working with long-practiced concepts and skills from my cinematography days, where color, composition, and the play of light and shadow were my daily companions to story telling. In my new creative life, sometimes I begin with objects ("Everyday-Things") and sometimes with street scenes ("Time-Flows.") And then I start to play.
Bio:
- Born New York City 1935
- Graduated Dartmouth 1957
- Worked and studied in Beirut (Lebanon,) Paris and Lacoste (France,) and Perugia and Rome (Italy,) 1957-1967
- Professional cinematographer Bay Area and Los Angeles for 50 years
- Lighting Instructor for film students at the Academy of Art University for the last fourteen years
- Moved to Amador City January 2019
